Here's a guide on how to track popular searches in your knowledge base:
Login to your knowledge base.
Look for Reports icon in navigation pane and click on it.
Popular searches report will be displayed on right side of the Failed Searches report on the KB reports page.
It will display the popular searched keywords with number of times it is searched.
Click on Date Range dropdown and select any date range, it will display the popular searched keywords with number of times it is searched.
